Be sure to see photos below for additional detail.

Our newest class is a darling 1912 barber shop.  We have packed a TON of details into a small space with this project! The roombox measures 15" high, 12" deep and 12 1/2" wide.

We have furnished our shop with five wonderful pieces from Bespaq.  There is a fabulous barber chair in black leather and walnut.  I love this piece, it has such detail!  A gorgeous tall wall unit features a mirror, sink with elegant handles and faucet and storage below with faux stained glass. The darling standing shaving stand  is delicately turned with removable lid.  There's a great hatstand in the corner. And for those waiting customers there is a wonderfully carved wooden bench. Retail value of the Bespaq pieces is over 250.00

We have added to  the furniture with our own pieces which come in kit form for you to assemble and finish.  There is an amazing wall hanging shaving mug rack, complete with a dozen shaving mugs and brushes which we designed and 3D printed.  THey come with authentic artwork on water slide decals so that your mugs are colorful and realistic.  We also produced a wonderful set of barber bottles, also 3D printed which include artwork on decals.  Metal cast straight razor, scissors and comb are also included.

We have included a great wooden newsstand which features the current headlines of the day. Both the newsstand and mug rack have been designed to coordinate well with the Bespaq pieces.  And there is a fabulous antique gold frame on the wall from minis by Karen.

All of these wonderful items are placed in a wonderful setting with original wallpaper, wood wainscotting, elaborate moldings and trims, and a beautiful handlaid floor.  The front of the building has a large window which is etched with the name of the shop.  The window in the door is also engraved.  Both windows look out over a charming street scene. The ceiling is a "tin" ceiling finished in an antique brass finish to compliment the decor of the room.  The main light fixture is a wonderful brass hanging piece with two red blown glass shades.

The lighting for the exterior scene and ambient light inside the room uses led strip lighting.  This means that installation is super easy, just a few wires to twist and you are done.  I used NO additional lighting or flash when I took the photos of this project... and as you can see it is wonderfully lit.  Note that students will need to provide their own transformer due to the different requirements in various countries.

The room is contained in a plywood outer box that can be stained or painted as desired.  We will provide instructions on how to easily add a picture frame to the outside of the box so that your project can be beautifully displayed, free from dust, but still accessible to "play" with.

Students will need to provide basic tools, paints and stains, and glue.

I have furniture available for only 11 of these kits. (I purchase all that was available).  This class will sell out quickly, so do not delay in registering.  If you have any questions, please drop me an email.
