SORRY, REGISTRATION FOR THIS CLASS HAS CLOSED. PLEASE CHECK BACK SOON FOR OUR NEXT PROJECT.
I got lots of emails when I did the beautiful 1/12 scale quilt shop last month from people wondering if perhaps it was available in 1/4 scale. At the time, I thought it would be nearly impossible to do.... but there's nothing like a good challenge, right? And here are the results!
This darling 1/4 scale shop has the same layout, fistures, etc as the bigger version, but in a much smaller space!!! It has a darling store front facade which is hinged to open and reveal the interior. This keeps the dust out of your fabrics! And there are lots of fabrics here!! Ever try to shop for fabrics tiny enough for 1/4 scale? There aren't any! So I printed my own, in addition to printing all the tiny fabric quilt tops. The wall display, shelving unit, cutting table, counter, etc. are all laser cut wood. The real wood floor has been laser etched with a quilt block motif.
Rather than list each detail, let me just say this: IF IT'S IN THE PHOTO, IT'S IN THE KIT. Our goal is to provide you with as complete a kit and project as possible. You will need to provide only basic tools and supplies such as paints and glues.
The entire piece is self contained, lights are recessed and powered by a coin cell battery hidden under the removable top, with an on off switch. This is the perfect companion piece to the tick tock clock shop.... See how wonderfully they display together in the photos below. The building measures 3 1/2" tall x 4 1/2" wide.
As always, a comprehensive online tutorial will cover each and every step of the project with written and photographic instruction. Any additional assistance is available to students by email and phone if needed. Class size will be limited and is offered on a first come, first served basis. The ship date for these kits is AUGUST 15.
