Welcome to the fifth in our series of innovative projects to celebrate the Holidays all year long.
What is more delightful than Easter? Bunnies, Eggs, Pastels... can it get any better? We have combined some wonderful Easter items to create our shelf projects and once again you have options to make your little shelf just the way YOU want it!
To begin, you will choose from two different figures for the focal point. Choose the fabulous Egg Tree display, complete with elegant pedestal, daisies and roses, or the traditional Victorian Rabbit Figure pushing his egg cart. Refer to the photos below, and use the pull down menu to indicate your choice when ordering. Either choice is displayed on a delicate lacy lasercut doily.
I have included 4 different victorian standees. Choose the ones you like for this project and use the others in another setting, or really fill the shelf to capacity and use all four. We added just a bit of very fine glitter to ours to give a little bit of sparkle, but you can also use them without glitter. (No glitter is included in the kit.)
The sweet as can be mama bunny teapot is just a delight. I was so excited when I found her in a local antique shop! She has such a sweet face and there is wonderful modeling in this vintage piece, right down to the tiny teacup she holds.. It is an easy piece to paint, and I will give you full instructions on painting that will result in a glazed porcelain effect.
We have also included a lovely 3 dimensional easter egg on an elegant gold stand. The egg features a raised tulip design which is perfect for spring. And finishing the grouping is a darling little pair of bunnies jumping in and out of their little heads of cabbage. The shelf is trimmed in a delicate laser cut eyelet paper shelf edging.
I designed this project to allow you to include a special holiday decoration in your dollhouse, or to create a small seasonal vignette that could be easily changed to reflect the current Holiday celebration.
To do this, I have designed a wall mounted shelf unit that allows for the shelf and contents to be removed from the base and quickly and easily changed to an alternate filled shelf. Only the supporting bracket system is mounted to the wall. The shelf is easily removed and replaced. It locks into the mounting unit to stay securely until you wish to change it again.
