Roses' tearoom is the twelfth piece in our ongoing series of 1/4 scale Victorian shops. It has a classic English exterior with lovely fan shaped windows and intricate trims. The front is hinged and swings open to reveal a darling interior. The back wall of the tearoom is reminiscent of my "Miss Lydia's Tearoom" with a bay shaped back wall featuring tall mullioned windows. The walls have wainscotting and wallpaper. There are two tables, and four chairs, all made from cherry wood with lots of detailing, including cabriole legs and silk upholstery. There is an exquisite sideboard which is also very intricate and detailed, again in cherry. And there is a darling little tea serving cart.
The unit is self contained, with two interior lights, and three lights that illuminate the outdoor scene shown thru the windows. The coin cell battery and on/off switch are cleverly hidden under a removable top for easy access.
The kit includes everything shown in the photo including framed artwork and three sets of Debbie Young's amazing tiny tea sets. Students will provide paints and stains, glues and basic tools.
