Due to illness, I had two cancellations for this final offering. Two kits are now available, shipping 3/24/16. Last chance!
This gorgeous piece works well as a stand alone piece, or as the beginning of a beautiful ladies shop display.
The wooden display unit stands 8" high by 10 1/4" wide. I used chalk finish paints and waxes to finish my piece. Instructions for this finish as well as the regular acrylic paint finish will be included. The display unit features a beautiful Edwardian era fretwork design, is lined with delicate original design wallpaper and features an awesome French graphic.
To call this a "filled cabinet" would truthfully be a bit of an understatement! The display contains:
1 finished jewelry bust
2 finished jewelry displays
small jewelry pieces
1 Edwardian silk blouse on standing mannequin
1 silk hat on hat stand
1 straw hat on hat mannequin
1 wonderful box filled with assorted millinery supplies such as hat pins, ribbons roses, etc.
2 beaded purses
3 darling hand fans
1 silk boxed corset
1 silk boxed ladies shirt
1 beautiful Swarovski crystal cranberry perfume set on mirrored tray
over 45 beautiful toiletry, perfume, jewelry, soap and clothing boxes, all newly designed for this project
2 "vintage french" hat boxes
You will learn so many new skills and techniques. This is like many small projects all brought together into one gorgeous display.
In addition, a lovely collection of vintage graphics is included to line the back walls, as well as tiny laser cut shelf edging.
Only the very finest materials were used in this project, including silk fabrics, antique silk netting, silk ribbons, French laces, Swarovski crystals, vintage French chanton crystals for jewelry, gold plated findings, and tiny antique pearl beads. The busts, displays and mannequins are all our original designs either 3D printed or resin cast. All the printed boxes are done with archival inks and papers, and are laser cut and scored for easy assembly. The straw hat uses a new technique that I have just developed, and comes to you pre-laser cut. It goes together so easily and looks so wonderful you will be amazed. In essence, everything included here is original to us, from the many, many graphics to the displays to the hat and clothing designs. And best of all, everything you see in the photograph is included in the kit.
Students will provide paints and sealers, and various glues. (If you want to use the exact finish I did, you can order the chalk paint from us and we will ship it with your kit. Go to tools and supplies, then chalk paints and select one jar of "timeless".) Students will also need to provide basic tools such as scissors, ruler, Xacto, miter box and razor saw for wood trim, tweezers, etc. Estimated ship date for this project is March 24.
