In all these years of doing miniatures, I have never done a Halloween class. But then I found a set of darling little Ellen Clapsaddle Halloween cards and some other darling Victorian images and figures and I was suddenly knee deep in darling little witches and goblins.
The result is this 1/12 scale filled hutch. I've painted it with charcoal chalk paints, and used shades or russet and coordinating patterns finish. There are many wonderful pieces filling the shelves. My favorite is the darling lighted putz style haunted house. There are also several really amazing 3D printed resin pieces to paint, including Mr. and Mrs. Pumpkin head and a darling little witch. There are two wooden lanterns which are lit, as well as a little ghost. A jack-o-lantern also has a glowing grin. The 3d printed pieces are cleaned and primed for you, and ready to paint. Check out the witches pot.. she's taken a tumble. And the little caped witch cat is cute as can be. Funny faced pumpkins, and a GREAT crow in his top hat are also included. And, of course, there is a set of little Clapsaddle standees.
The lights are powered by a coin cell battery which has an on/off switch. The switch and battery are hidden in the back side of the cabinet.
Students will assemble the hutch from precut wood pieces. All materials are included. Students will need to provide paints and glues, and an assortment of fine glitter is also suggested for decorating the various pieces. Basic tools will be needed, such as scissors, tweezers, fine paint brushes, ruler, Xacto knife, etc.
This kit is scheduled to ship by October 9. We have already started production and kits that are finished early will be shipped as they are ready. Registration will be open only one week, and quantities are limited, because we want our students to be able to have their kits in time to finish them before the Holiday.
