Halloween is fast approaching, and we have a simply delectable project for you!
Everyone loves a tea party! What's not to love? Getting out your favorite china, fancy, oh so yummy deserts, and maybe even a candle or two is such a treat. And did you know that even witches stop to enjoy a spot of tea with friends at this time of year?
For Winifred's party, we have created a wonderful 1/12 scale buffet, topped with an amazing mirror with etched spider web design, beautifully framed with a highly detailed and dimensional gothic frame.
The lower portion of the cabinet features a center inset "carving" of a raven basking in the light of a full moon. Feather shaped door handles and wonderfully modeled legs complete the cabinet. The cabinet is finished in a matte black chalk paint finish, accented with a wonderful shimmery silver metallic wax, which is also used on other items in the project.
And sitting on top of this completely original piece of furniture are all the makings of a perfectly spooktacular tea party.
Let's start with the wonderful 5 piece tea set. Whimsical sculls make the teapot, creamer, sugar bowl and two cups, all featuring delightful handles made from bone shapes. The tea set sits on a wonderful spider web shaped doily. Of course, no tea party would be complete without the treats, and our little witch hostess has been busy creating beautiful little cupcakes, adorned with tiny bats, cats, hats, pumpkins and the like.
Illuminating the entire scene are two skeleton candelabras. Each of these holds three tiny electrified led chips which provide a warm and wonderful glow to the scene. And best of all they are all wired to softly flicker! The on/off switch is located on the back side of the unit for easy access and the lights run off an easily changed coin cell battery. Check out the short video at the link below to see how awesome the lighting effects are!

The entire piece measures approx. 5" wide, 4 1/4" high and 1 1/2" deep. Everything included in the photos is included in your kit. There's nothing else to purchase. Of course, students will provide paints, glues, and basic tools.
The instructions are provided to you via an online tutorial that contains photos and written instructions to guide you along each and every step of the project. And if you have a question... we are only an email away.
We need to order the lighting kits for this project soon in order to have them made in time to meet our projected ship date, so we will have a shortened registration, and a limited number of kits, which are available on a first come, first served basis.
If you have any questions, be sure to drop us an email! Anticipated ship date is October 26, 2023.
