Love the look of hand embroidery Vintage Linens Cottage chic decor Then this is the project you have been waiting for.
This project includes all of the furnishings to make the darling room shown, including bed, vanity, stool, night able, armoire, and gorgeous carved Windsor chair. All furniture pieces are from Bespaq, manufacturer's of the finest miniature furniture available. The carving and detailing on these pieces is simply exquisite.
You will be refinishing all furniture pieces, which will be in mahogony when you receive them using a very easy shabby chic antiquing process.
But here's the best part. You will receive custom embroidered fabric panels to create the bed cover, padded head board, footboard, pillows and even a couple of matching doilies!. The embroidery is all complete for you and is simply amazing. If you have done any hand embroidery, you probably know what bullion roses are. They are made of many many stitches and when finished have a very three dimensional effect. All of the flowers on the embroidery are very three dimensional and are done in beautiful satiny rayon threads. The colors are a bit softer than they might be showing on your monitor, think soft dusty sky blue, delicate pink, minty green....
You will learn to finish the embroidery panel by trimming out the scalloped edges, clipping jump stitches, and then cutting away the larger portions of the stabilizer on the back of the fabric. But nothing too very difficult, as you will then place the pieces in water and the remainder of all of the stabilizer will simply dissolve away! It doesn't get much easier. Hand stitching or gluing of hems, and a few inches of hand or machine stitching to complete the pillows is all the sewing necessary in this project. Imagine how long it would take to complete that embroidery by hand! And I promise you NO ONE will think that it is machine stitched! It looks SO hand embroidered!!!
This is not a roombox class. The roombox was made simply to display the finished set. However, if you like the setting, I can send you measurements and general instructions on how to complete the room.
You will receive the bed, linens, vanity and stool and all items shown on the vanity, armoire and fabric to finish the front panels, nightstand, and wing chair, and paints and stains for antiquing. ( plates, framed artwork, lamp, etc are not included.) You will need to provide standard tools, and two cans of spray paint/finish that I am unable to ship to you. These are available at any hardware store.
