My newest design has been in the works for several months. And I am so pleased to show it to you! My 144th scale Georgian dollhouse is nothing short of amazing. The house stands a mere 3 7/8" in height. The "basement" front features a wonderfully detailed double stone staircase and balcony. The stone continues up the front of the house, and the window trims and mullions are incredible! The entire front of the house is hinged to open, revealing three floors.
Each floor is illuminated by two led chip lights. The lights are powered by a coin cell battery and on/off switch which are cleverly hidden inside the hollow "basement" area.
I have not done many 144th scale projects, because up until now, I was not happy with the standard choice of material.. 1/64" thick plywood. It is very brittle and breaks very easily, and requires so much heat to laser cut that the edges are always dark. The pieces are too tiny to be able to really sand, and overall, well I just thought that the results looked a bit "craftsy".
We have done all of the furnishings in this house using a brand new material especially developed for fine laser cutting. It is super strong, nearly impossible to break. It does NOT warp when you glue it or paint it. It glues together beautifully and I can't wait till you get to experience how wonderful this material is to work with. When I saw the potential in this material, I decided to pull out all the stops and do a really detailed and elegant set of furnishings for this house. The chaise lounges are padded and upholstered in silk! The dining room chairs are also upholstered in silk. The wonderful Georgian four poster bed features wonderful draping and spread from original fabric that I have created just to fit the bed. Its a very impressive piece, yet could not be easier to make! Highboys, dressers, buffet, wallpapers with wonderful printed window artwork and mural designs, rugs, and even tiny candlesticks and floral arrangements are all included.
This wonderful house needed a special table on which to sit, so we have designed a beautiful cherry wood table featuring fretwork trim made specifically to fit this dollhouse perfectly The house on the table stands 5 1/2" high.

The kit includes all materials to make the project, including laser cut parts, fabrics, wallpaper, rugs, etc. Students will need to provide paint, glue, stain and sealer and normal tools. All instructions will be presented in a comprehensive online tutorial with extensive written instruction and photos of each and every step.
