Happy New Year!  I decided to start the new year with a tiny little project that has been on my "to-do" list for some time now.

My little "French Salon" roombox is made in 144th scale.  It is the perfect size to display in your 1/12 scale dollhouse or roombox.  After all, the people who live in our dollhouses MUST be miniature collectors too, right?

The box is electrified, with lighting accenting the exterior scene which is viewed thru the two tall windows.  There is also a tiny light in the ceiling of the main room for extra illumination.  The floor is a lovely herringbone pattern, done in cherry wood.

The walls have panel molding painted in gold.  Over the fireplace hangs a lovely portrait.  The left wall features a large framed mirror.  The furnishings are lovely, delicate matching settees, which are easily finished with chalk paint and gold accents.  The side table is made of wood and also has gold leaf accents.

But my very favorite part of the room are the tiny details.  There are three very tiny 3d printed busts, painted to look like marble.  Look closely at the photos below.  These are just incredible, as is the very tiny 3d printed chandelier which measures under 1/4" at the widest part.

The electrical source is cleverly hidden under the roombox, and turning it on and off is super easy with the new touch sensor pad on the back of the box,.

The box is enclosed with a plexi glas and wood frame.  It sits on top of a beautiful hand carved table by Bespaq. (Retail value of the table alone is $22.00).  The entire project measures 3 3/8" in height.

IMPORTANT NOTE;  THIS CLASS HAS SOLD EXTREMELY WELL.  I HAVE EXHAUSTED THE AVAILABLE SUPPLY OF NEW WALNUT TABLES.  IF YOU ORDER NOW, YOUR TABLE WILL BE MAHOGANY IN COLOR, DARKER THAN THE TABLE SHOWN IN THE PHOTO.  IT WILL STILL BE LOVELY, AND YOU CAN STAIN THE FRAME TO MATCH REGARDLESS OF THE COLOR.

I tried this with the last class and it worked so very well.  Your early registration allows me to order components, like the custom lighting kits earlier and with more accurate numbers, so I am not over or under ordering supplies, which helps keep prices down.

Tentative ship date for this kit is Jan 31.  Instructions will be included in an online tutorial, with photos and written instructions for each and every step.  Students will need to supply basic tools, paints, glue and a razor saw and miter box to cut the frame molding.  If you have any questions, drop me an email.  Be sure to check out the additional photos below.
