Every woman loves shoes!!! And why not?? Our newest project is a darling 1/4" scale Edwardian Era Shoe Shoppe that anyone would love to browse in!
The fully enclosed shop is created in the same manner as the other structures in our collection of 1/4 scale shops. The unit sits on a painted base, and has a hinged front. The front swings completely open for easy viewing of the contents. The top of the back section of the unit lifts off to expose the lighting on/off switch and to allow easy access to change the coin cell battery as needed.
The exterior of the shop is quite elaborate, and features a wonderful sign that can be CUSTOMIZED especially for you. Instead of "Sadie" & Co. you can choose your own name, either first or last, so the sign might read "Linda & Co". or "Jones & Co." Please indicate your name selection using the provided menu when making your purchase. Six letters is the maximum that will fit.
The interior features a main back display wall, filled with a fabulous display of shoes. In the kit, you will receive 20 pair of shoes/boots, and every pair is different. In addition you will receive the 15 individual shoes you need to complete the windows displays and center back wall. The shoes are very high resolution 3D printing. They come to you unpainted. You will use acrylic craft paints to finish the shoes, which have tons of details, little buttons, buckles and bows. The bottom of the display is filled with tiny boot and shoe boxes.
There are two customer benches, two shoe fitter/salesman stools, and two floor mirrors. The beautiful wallpaper ties into the plum color featured on the exterior and there is a floor rug to match. Framed artwork adorns the walls and little flower shaped shades cover the led chips which provide plenty of light to really make this display shine.
All materials shown in the photo are included. Students will need to provide basic tools, all paints, stains and sealers, etc. as we no longer ship liquids in our kits.
All instructions will be provided to you online in an extensive tutorial that includes both photographic and written instructions for each step in the project. If you have not taken one of our online classes, please refer to our FAQ page here, and also, visit the past classes pages and view some of the many wonderful reviews we have received from beginner and advanced student alike, who are always pleased with the abundance of clear and easy to follow instructions.
Because of the tremendous amount of 3D printing needed for this project, the number of kits offered will be limited, and available on a first come first served basis. The anticipated ship date for the kits is Sept. 1.
Be sure and view the photos below! Note... as mentioned above, the front of the building is intended to be hinged to the back section, however I decided it would be much easier for me to photograph all of the interior details without having to work around the door, so it has been left off only for photography. Hinges and instructions are included.
Building is 4" tall. Base measures 4 1/2" deep by 5 1/2" across.
