Sorry, this class is sold out.  Check  back for our next project!

I'm so excited to finally announce my new online class project. This project was a bit of a personal challenge, and took longer than I ever dreamed it might to create, but I am so very thrilled with the results!  I hope you will be too!

This 1:48 scale room box depicts a beautiful rose-themed, not so shabby chic bedroom retreat. The challenge was to learn to model my own furniture, lighting and accessories in 3d, for resin printing.  They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, and let's face it, I'm no spring chicken!  And a LOT of tricks (and CAD programs) had to be learned to get the pieces just the way I wanted!  There are beautiful little details - pretty little floral carvings, curved fronts, molded handles, and gorgeous cabriolet legs that could never be made this delicate in any other method. Not to mention my gorgeous original chandelier, which is reminiscent of the beautiful beaded empire style fixtures.  These highly detailed pieces come to you completely cleaned and primed, ready for a coat of acrylic paint and as much or as little detail painting as you wish.  There is NO construction required for the furniture pieces, other than dressing the bed.

Construction and finishing of the box, including floor, moldings and trims is required, as well as basic wiring for the chandelier and darling table lamps.

Here's what's included:

The room starts with a stained wooden floor covered with a pretty rug trimmed with silk fringe.  The walls are a rich Victorian teal, and feature painted moldings and scroll accents.

The furnishings include a beautiful dressed bed with painted headboard.  The bed is dressed in my original fabric design, featuring beautiful peachy pink roses.  A solid silk dust ruffle and lots of pretty pillows trim the bed.  At the foot of the bed is a narrow bench with silk padding, lovely shaped legs and carved floral details.

On each side of the bed stands a delicate nightstand with curved front and gorgeous cabriolet legs.  On each nightstand is a darling working table lamp.  You will be amazed at the tiny scale of these lamps.  The advances in 3d printers allows for the most amazing pieces to be produced!

On the right wall is a beautiful vanity, with curved front and large oval mirror trimmed with floral carving.  The dainty vanity stool is upholstered with silk.  Beside the vanity stands a wonderful armoire, with oval mirror, and lots of lovely details.

On the opposite wall, a pretty cheval mirror (which actually swivels) stands in the corner.  Beside the mirror is a wide French Provincial style dresser with curved front, carved details and beautiful "hardware".

One of the most amazing parts of the room are the very tiny accessories.  Look closely, and you will find a little mirrored perfume tray, holding the most amazing perfume bottles you will ever see!  There are also perfumes on the vanity, as well as a tiny hand mirror and brush.  A tiny framed portrait sits on the dresser, as well as a beautiful "marble" bust of a lovely Victorian girl. I've included some close up photos of the accessories next to a penny to try and give you an idea of just how tiny these items are.

Beautiful vintage "roses" artwork adorns the walls, framed in lovely 3D frames.

And the frosting on the cake has to be the incredible chandelier.  It took many, many hours to not only create the model, but to do so in a way that would allow the piece to be easily lighted. I know you will be amazed at the detail in this lighting fixture, and I'm eager to get to work making other styles!

The room box has a frame over the front with a piece of plexiglass to keep out the dust.  The lights are powered with a coin cell battery, which is stored on the recessed bottom of the box.  There is an on/off button on the back for easy access.  All instructions will be provided in an extensive online tutorial which will provide photos and written instructions for each and every step.  Basic tools will be required, as well as paints, stain, and glues, which are not included.

Registration is offered on a first come/first served basis, and space is limited.  If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send an email! Estimated ship date is June 17th, or sooner.
