SORRY, THIS CLASS IS SOLD OUT

Time to return to 1/12 scale for a bit!!! This project was inspired by all of those fabulous Christmas village displays that are again beginning to pop up in stores and homes as we get ready for Christmas. Your dollhouse needs one too!!! Or, this display is a wonderful stand alone piece. The hutch is an original design in 1/12" scale, measuring 7 1/4" in height. The easy to assemble and finish hutch features lovely holly garland and engraved Christmas greeting. These can be omitted by simply flipping those piece over if you prefer a plain hutch.

The three shelves are filled with a total of nine little village buildings. There are houses, schoolhouse, train station, merchantile, tearoom and a church with stained glass windows. Not counting chimneys and steeples, the buildings are an inch or smaller in height. Don't let the size decieve you.. they are loaded with details, including window mullions, brick facings, sidings, etc.

Best of all the entire display is lit. Each house sits on a light source that is built into the hutch. The lights are run off of a coin cell battery that is hidden in the back along with an on/off switch. The lights glow just beautifully thru the windows. Glittered snow covers the ground and roofs of all buildings. These buildings can be finished as simply or as elaborately as you desire. Laser etched details make even the most detailed painting easy!

For this project, students will need to supply glue, Xacto knife, scissors, paint brushes in an assortment of sizes, a good assortment of acrylic paints. White spray paint for hutch is optional. All other materials and lighting components are included.

An extensive online tutorial will guide you each and every step of the way thru this project. Email support is also always available if you need further help.

NOTE: The two pieces of china shown on the lower shelves are NOT included in the kit. You can fill the shelves with your own china, tiny packages, mini christmas cards, or any other hoilday treasure from your own collection.
