This is Noella, one of my new
sculptures. Noella was named after a wonderful friend who has
been a tremendous help to me in creating and maintaining this site as
well as my sanity while trying to do both minis and computer work!
Noella is costumed in a gold colored dupoini silk.
Her skirt is covered with a fabulous piece of fine antique lace that
has been shirred up the entire length of the skirt, and also drapes
over the full flowing bustle and train. Tiny pearls are
scattered over the gathered lace to anchor delicate folds into place.
The bodice is tightly fitted, and is trimmed with drapes of tiny pearl
beads, and loops of pearls drape from the shoulders over the upper
arm. These beads are quite old, and so tiny that they
required importing special needles from England to string them! |
